Task 23: Feedback

I now know a lot more about social networking tools and Web 2.0 technologies than I did at the beginning of this program. I have enjoyed learning about Flicker, Library Things, Funny Image Generator, Google Maps, Encore , YouTube and iGoogle. I will definitely be using some of these tools in the future. Good program for personal development. It is a handy skill to have but as yet, I haven't had to use these skills to help students.

Task 22: Google Talk

Have read all about Google Talk and invited a couple of people to chat with. I have also added Google talk to my iGoogle. It is a useful tool to use for online reference purposes.

Task 18: Encore

Encore is a great innovative way to find materials in the library catalogue and is easy to navigate. Patrons can also see other tags and keywords which might be helpful to them. Spellcheck is also a great feature.

I have subscribed to a couple of podcasts and listened to a media file.

Task 14: Play with Google Docs

I have created a document on Google Docs and shared it with a couple of staff members. I have also saved the document on Google Docs.

Task 17: Playing with Delicious

I've had a play with Delicious searching for Chinese culture , food and travel. Very useful tool to have.
